This week we�re going to explore the astral world, right from your easy chair. Or wherever you meditate. First let me point you to Alfred�s Astral Page. Ballabene `s OBE and Astral Pages, and The Astral Projection Home Page. are the best sites I�ve found. Place them on your favorite or bookmark list. You�ll need to go back several times to see it all. Then you have to follow the links. You could be days exploring these sites. By now you can probably sit still for the twenty minutes this exercise will take you. You have been meditating haven�t you? It�s better to take a walk before doing this exercise. It will give you a slightly tired body and an alert mind. Go to a park or nature center if there�s one nearby. A walk around your neighborhood will do. Take note of as many details as you can. Jot down some notes. Tonight when you meditate you�re going to retrace your earlier walk. Here�s the method. Get comfortable and do some deep breathing exercises. My favorite is the four fold - breath. Like this. In two, three, four and pause. Out two three four and pause. Do at least five repetitions of this. Now in your mind picture a double glass door in the outside wall. Got to it and open it and step out. If you�re on the second story don�t worry, this is the magic kingdom. You can fly. Now step out and take off. Just like Superman does in the movies. Walk out the front door if flying scares you. However, it's fun and you should give it a try. Go back to the place you visited earlier. You can land if you want but, it�s more fun to float a foot above the ground. Follow the exact course you took earlier. I know you�ve probably never done this. That�s OK. Pretend you can. Pretend you can hear the sounds sights and smells. Imagine them in great detail. The secret is to keep at it. It�s the same as any other skill. Over time you�ll gain proficiency. It�s also one of the best exercises I know for strengthening your psychic abilities. Practice this exercise at least once a day. Try going to different places. The more you practice this the easier it gets. One day while practicing you�ll realize it�s for real. You'll know you're not pretending. The waterfall is from one of my favorite places. It's an arboretum about a half a mile from my home. I go there because it's beautiful and it has wonderful sounds. The sensation is hard to describe but you know it's the real thing. When this happens just stay in the observing mode. Make no judgments about what you see. You'll probably notice something new or different. The next chance you get go back in you physical body and check. Here's the scary part. You'll see that new whatever. That's when you know it wasn't pretend. At this stage it's better if you don't interact with anyone you meet while voyaging. Don't go to close to them, it could upset them. They would probably think they're seeing a ghost, or they may get a chill up their back. You'll give your favorite place a reputation for being haunted. |
