This Week's Tarot Lesson The Ten of Pentacles: The Ten of Pentacles
The Golden Dawn says this card is: Completion of material gain and fortune, but nothing beyond. As it were, at the very pinnacle of success. Old age, slothfulness, great wealth, yet sometimes loss in part, and later heaviness, dullness of mind, yet clever and prosperous in money transactions. (Riches and wealth.) Completion of material gain and fortune, but nothing beyond. As it were, at the very pinnacle of success. Old age, slothfulness, great wealth, yet sometimes loss in part, and later heaviness, dullness of mind, yet clever and prosperous in money transactions. (Riches and wealth.) The first picture is the Place at Versailles. It was built by Louis the 14th. The second picture is of Persephone. The style is pre-Raphaelite. One of my favorite art styles.
Its hard for the Ten of Pentacles to have a bad interpretation. It can only have a bad meaning if its surrounded by some really mean swords. I dont do reversed meanings but some readers do. The Ten of Pentacles reversed loses some of its magick if its Persephone Greek Deity "Maiden." Daughter of Demeter, wife of Hades. Hades abducted Persephone and took her to the underworld to be his queen. When Demeter heard, she wandered the earth in mourning, abandoning her responsibilities, and the earth grew gray and barren. The growing famine forced Zeus to demand that Hades return Persephone to the surface world. But Persephone had eaten part of a pomegranate, and eating of the food of the dead bound her to their world. Zeus and Hades struck a bargain Persephone would spend seven months a year in the world of the living and five in the world of the dead. When Persephone is in the world, her mother Demeter is content, and the world blooms and lives. When she is in the underworld, Demeter mourns, the world languishes, and we have winter. Persephone Persephone - The ancient Greek Goddess of Springtime. Legend has it that she was so beautiful that the God of the underworld fell in love with her and spirited her down to Hades. She is a somewhat melancholy Goddess, yearning to be free of the underworld, but doomed to spend half the year there. When she does escape, the world comes alive again. In Greece, all the spring flowers are white, so she is mostly white except for her hair. Being the daughter of Zeus, she has long dark hair and brown eyes
Ceres Roman Deity The Goddess of Corn. The Eternal Mother. The Sorrowful Mother. Ceres has a direct connection with Gaea and Isis. He was she who taught humankind the Eleusian Mysteries. Demeter, Kore, and Persephone are aspects of the One Goddess. The Cerealis, her festival, is celebrated April 19. She rules crops, initiations, law, civilization in general. She is the Protectress of women, motherhood, and marriage.

Online I'm Tarottoy on AOL Answer to this week's free question. Plus some help with astral travel. Dear Robert:
I was on the Google search engine, and I am a great believer in fate.
Your name is the same as the person I want to find out about, I live in
Scotland, so it's a bit difficult to come and see you. Bobby Graham, my
twin boys father and I have not had any contact since they were born,
they are now two and a half years old. I know I should have given up on
him but I can't, I should probably also mention he is married at the
moment, although I have a strong suspicion they have separated and
recently I've been seeing him a lot in the passing. I want to know if
you think there is a chance of us being happy together or am I just
kidding myself. I feel really cheeky asking this, and not paying for
your advice but your web page says emails are free. Please get back to
me even if it is just to tell me you can't answer this question. Dear Lisa: Forget it. I asked the I Ching about your quandary. Hexagram number 12 came up. Number 12 is called Standstill. Forget this man and move on as soon as possible. Heres a quote from the hexagram. 12. Obstructed in Dark There is no harmony now between forces. Nefarious people have power. Fall back on your inner strength and don't reveal your talents and intelligence. This will help you avoid disaster. For the time being, it's not possible to accomplish anything productive. Don't get involved with devious people. I can tell you that a gentleman who used to have red hair will soon enter your life. I say used to be because red hair often fades. My brothers hair turned brown by the time he was thirty. You havent met this man yet and may not until late this year. Hes a good man and hes looking to marry. His wife either left him or died. Also a woman named Marian will soon walk into your life. Shes a good person and you should allow the friendship to grow. Here's the answer to those of you that have asked me about astral travel. The answer to you problem is: Practice, practice practice. Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up. Also, meditate, meditate, meditate. It's like physical training for playing sports. Here's how: Meditation The feeling of being in control of your own destiny is a major goal of meditation. Meditation relaxes the mind and body. it the first step in learning to use your psychic powers. Lower blood pressure and reduced stress result from consistent practice of meditation. Successful meditation is simple when you know what to expect. Except for minor variations the process is the same for everyone. First get in a comfortable position, sitting in a chair or lying on the floor. Don t lie down if you fall asleep easy. Relax your body, close your eyes and become very still. Soft music aids concentration and helps mask room noises. Inevitably, you get an itch somewhere! It s equivalent to carrying something breakable with both hands and getting an itch on your nose. Stay still ignore the itch and you will settle into a relaxed state. Many people get a tickle or itch in the face. Deep relaxation opens the tiny capillaries in the face. The tickle or itch comes from the increased blood flow. It is a sure sign you are on the right track. With closed eyes most people see some mildly pleasant visions. Those of you who remember Walt Disney's Fantasia will have a good idea of what I mean. The first part of the movie set to Bach's Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor is a good example of what to expect. Shortly a tightness will form in your chest, near the level of your heart. This creates the urge to sigh. Take a very deep breath through your nose and let it out in a long sigh. Getting this far is real progress. Next comes the urge to swallow. You may need to swallow more than once. Swallowing is a major landmark on your journey. Some people experience the desire to swallow and sigh in the order. Either way is okay. Drowsiness hits you next. At this point you must not fall asleep! Stay alert. The feeling is one of extreme relaxation, with a sensation of heaviness in the arms and legs. Once you ve made it this far you re in deep meditation. You may experience spontaneous muscle spasms in your arms or legs. Don't let these twitches bother you, they are just the body's way of letting go of stored tensions. This reaction often doesn t come until the next stage. The next phase involves a feeling of floating or falling. I often feel that my feet are falling through the floor. The feeling is similar to lying on a rubber raft in a swimming pool. Most people don t get this far the first few times they try meditation. If you don t experience these sensations immediately, just keep at it. Eventually you will succeed.. Write to Robert E. Graham at 2620 Edgmont Ave., Parkside, PA 19015.
